"I believe in 2 Talented because I believe in discipleship and the great commission. In a time where hip-hop is consumed by so many, there's a need to disciple young rappers to connect how their faith in Christ impacts their art." - Billy Rose, Director of Mentoring and Discipleship at Champions of Hope
Mission Statement: We help young rappers grow in their craft and discover their calling.
Vision Statement: Our goal is to build a discipleship movement of young rappers who steward and multiply their gifts for the glory of God and the welfare of the city.
Description: This program seeks to disciple young Christian rappers in godliness and their craft by hosting two hour meetings including Bible Study, creative writing/rap exercises and Hip Hop history lessons. We also seek to do life with all of our students by inviting them to our shows, studio sessions, rap battles, ministry/service opportunities, to hang out, etc.
Goal: To make comprehensive disciples of Jesus Christ and mobilize these students to lead the future after school programs and to pour into other rappers.

Assemblies and Concerts:
Description:In order to promote positive values and to discourage destructive behavior, we’ll put on Hip Hop themed assemblies in public schools to champion academic excellence, encourage students to discover their calling, and expose negative narratives that are popular in culture.Following the assemblies, we will have concerts where we’ll share the Gospel and be able to interact with the students who attend.
Goal:To promote positive themes for student enrichment, recruit young rappers for our after school programs, and be able to share the Gospel at our concert following the assembly.
Time scale: Two to five 45 minute assemblies a year starting August 2017
After School Programs:

Goal: To redeem the culture of Hip Hop by using its history and art form to encourage academic excellence.
Time scale: Proposed Start date: Spring 2017

Students will be rewarded by making good grades, attending meetings, community service, good behavior in the classroom and at home, and completion of 2 Talented assignments.
Goal: To provide incentives for achievement and the sense of accomplishment and completion associated with the discipline of success in life and education.
